Bare feet walked the cold, hard ground as he made his way to Sita’s house. He figured that he’d go and see her because, after all, she was the leader of Afterglow and such. Not to mention, it’d been a while since they had talked, and he missed talking to her. He actually missed talking to anyone in Afterglow, really, except for Aimee but he talked to her almost everyday. It was like he practically lived with her, but tonight, he had been at home, just doing whatever his mind pleased. He hadn’t had anything else better to do, so he had decided to get out of the house, and leave poor Aimee alone for once.
He finally reached his destination, walking up to the door and knocking in the same rhythmic pattern that he always had; probably just about anyone he knew would know him by just his knock by now. It was a short quick knock, followed by two more spaced-out raps. He wasn’t surprised if Sita already knew who it was, really. His knock was probably the only way that Aimee knew who he was whenever he came over. However, he couldn’t change what type of knock he did, it was a habit. At least it wasn’t a bad one.

<33 Heyia.
Sita stood at the wood stove, cooking evening meal. It was baked potatoes and corn, and she was quite fond of it herself. The potatoes were almost done, and the corn only lingered on the stove to keep it warm. She decided she could spoon some out into a chipped bowl for Sasha, and that's when it happened.
Sasha heard it first. A knock on the door. It was familiar, a knock in a way that only one person could possibly be knocking. She ran over to the door and knocked back. 'Jamie?!' she shrieked. That was when Sita looked up. Greeaat. Company, she muttered. She hated company.
James wasn't a bad guy, really. But he was close to Aimee, and Sita found more and more that she fancied the girl like she'd never imagined she could fancy someone since Corey. So she was jealous. Yes? she called through the door, her voice colder than she'd meant it to be.

He stood at the door, the cold biting at his feet, almost to the point of where they felt like he would get frostbite if he stood out there any longer. He wasn’t one that was too fond of the cold, nor was he too fond of going without shoes, but he couldn’t find them before he left, so he just got up and went instead of spending hours rummaging through the closets of his house. It had probably saved him a lot of time; he only hoped that he wasn’t visiting at the wrong time.
He was so focused on the numbness of his feet, that he jumped when he heard a knock back on the door as well as Sasha’s shrill voice on the other side of the door. He was actually pretty fond of Sasha. She was young, and alive, and he liked that. She was a good little girl. He nodded as to say that it was him, but then he realized that no one could hear a nod so he said something after Sita had spoken. Yeah, it’s me. Mind if I come in, Sita? he asked, still standing at the door, waiting. It was all he could do.

Sita sighed irritably. Did she mind? Of course she minded. Aimee was hers, all hers, and he was trying to steal her. But still, as Snachala, it was her duty to play nice. I guess I don't mind, she muttered as she swung the door open. Sasha went to jump at James, but Sita rudely pulled her back and lifted her up, settling her on her hip. No, Sasha, she said gently, then glancing at James and not wanting to seem like anything was wrong, she added. That isn't polite. She turned around and went to the table, setting Sasha down in her chair. The child immediately went back to eating, sensing her mother's anger and ignoring James as she guessed Sita wanted her to do. Sita gave James a tight smile. Well, come in, shut the door, she said quickly. 'Tis cold out.
