ANTIFUR INTERNATIONAL would like to that Bob O' Riley, Clint Sexton, Chad Wood, Matthew Salinger, and Laura Friedeberg, who served as our Web masters and message board moderators under the user name "Antifur". Thanks to Suzanne Sperry, the president of Antifur International, for her encouragement behind what proved to be a futile effort. Online, we would like to thank CrowMax for helping us wise up, Pachua for being our non-partisan font of help, NecroticAngeldust who has since been brought back into the membership, and the other members and supporters of Antifur whose voices were drowned out by screaming stupidity.
January 30, 2001: We used to think Pressed Fur was pretty tight and sound. Now, we think the editors (whoever the hell they are) are just idiots. We didn't appreciate the insinuation that we were somehow hiding our parting shot by making it black on black (a fuck up). We said it, we mean it, and we'll say it again.

You're smart enough to understand, aren't you? Unfortunately (at least to many furs), Antifur International was not forceably removed from the Web nor have we abandoned our organization. We've simply elected not to maintain a Web presence, as we feel that (a) the people finding us here are by and large idiots and (2) we serve our purpose better in the real world.
But don't fret. We're still online as individuals, and we do wander among you.
Thanks for the "fun". You're a sad bunch that seriously needs real people to notice you and get you all help. Hopefully you all will get a clue the next time a critical group arises...or the time after that...or, well, no, maybe you won't.
So we wrote to the furred wonders at Pressed Fur. As they will likely post our message (hey, they need to get content from somewhere), we don't see the point in posting it here as well. Suffices to say that no, Antifur has NOT "called it quits" by any stretch of the imagination. We're just undergoing a change (the way Pressed Fur does it, you'd think our removing our site is a news flash of the same magnitude as the earthquakes in India).

Yes, this is neither intelligent nor mature, but we really hate the Pressed Fur people (who never have the balls to contact anyone by e-mail--or at least they never contacted us), and we wanted to make sure THAT point was as obvious as possible. Pressed Fur? How about Useless Leeches Do Splash Journalism?
By the way, it is interesting to note that after just now looking at the message board, the original gold text against the black background is visible. Either Pressed Fur's "very observant reader" is as observant as a blind slug or they're using a browser for the blind. Sigh, yet another instance of furry logic. Let us quit this wretched place!
