Best live albums
I am on a trip where I have been listening to all my live albums and I'm craving some more.
I have
Iron Maiden - Live After Death, Rock In Rio
Iced Earth - Alive In Athens (One of the best live albums ever)
Thin Lizzy - Live And Dangerous (Another classic)
W.A.S.P - Double Live Assassins
Sonata Arctica - Songs Of Silence
Judas Priest - Unleashed In The East
Gamma Ray - Alive In '95
Bruce Dickinson - Scream For Me Brazil
I'm sure there is a couple more but I need some recomendations for a new live good live album to get.
Re: Best live albums
Your loss on KISS, then. That's one of the greatest, most influential live albums of all time. Amazing. Rob, email me and I'll tell you about AIA, I don't want it to end up on Blabbermouth. Nothing personal, Jeff.
Re: Best live albums
Saw a video of "Speak English or Die" with the singer jumping off the PA and hitting people in the crowd with the mic.....hilarious.....Hey Don....are you coming out to rehearsal tomorrow?
Re: Best live albums
I have Hall Of The Mountain King but that's it. If I can find that cd I will most likely get it. I have been looking to get into some Savatage. Thanks!
Re: Best live albums
I totally agree with Teri... Ghost In The Ruins is essential. Plus as I told you at CTG's yesterday it serves as a "Best of" for Savatage (which to my knowledge there isn't one currently in print).
SOD Live at Budokan is a great CD/DVD just for the laugh factor.
All those CD's listed are great, but I would add Dokken's "Beast From The East"... Even if you're not a fan of Dokken, George Lynch rips it up on that CD.
