cinnamons this past weekend we had 3 litters of cinnamon and cinnamon cross babies born....2 of the litters are 1/2 satin Rick Stahl very generously loaned a nice black satin buck to us because we needed to work on the coat quality and shoulders of our cinnamons and just culling and trying to breed for it within our gene pool wasn't getting us anywhere. the other litter is 1/4 english spot 3/4 cinnamon. it is a litter of 7 with 2 of the babies being broken....the solid babies will go off to market as fryers when they are old enough. and the brokens will be kept to continue the small line that Walt is working on to produce broken cinnamons...I really think that a broken variety would be a boon to the breed in general and make them a more popular breed to keep.... |
