chasing rabbits [p - fiera]

Private for Fiera/Loria <3

I guess I'm playing Sindri until he gets a player.

Ennui had always been a solitary sort of wolfess. But now, with two children to care for, she had no time to be cold and solitary. Her soul would be held accountable for the well-being and growth of these pups, and she'd better hope she did it right because if she didn't, she was fucked. Not fucked in the way of making things all better, try again next time. She couldn't try again next time. She knew her parents had thought that if you screwed up one litter, have another and try again.

Surprisingly enough, Ennui had morals.

The pups were likely still at the back of the den. It was morningtime, and she walked back and nuzzled each pup awake, just like she did at every daybreak. Sindri was first, since he roused easier. C'mon, little master. Up you go, greet the day. She was always more gentle with her pups than she would be normally, albeit sometimes not by much. She knew they were not quite four months old, and they were still learning. There was a lot to learn when you lived in Arciero.

Mornd'nin', Ma, her son greeted her blearily. He stretched out across the bed he and his sister had been sharing and blinked his fiery red optics a few times. S'brigh', he muttered, as always, before padding out into the main chamber of their den to gnaw on fresh rabbit. Many times, Ennui took her children out hunting in the morning, but not this morning. The den was scented of warm rabbit, and Ennui nuzzled Fiera gently to try and rouse her.

Miss Fiera, it's time to be awake, love, Ennui whispered softly, and in her heart, she knew that 'love' was the only word there was for how she felt about her children.

Re: chasing rabbits [p - fiera]

lay me down to sleep

I don't know what's wrong with me. Le suckyness. Sorry babe.

i pray you'll hold me dear

Sleep was a grandiose phenomenon. Atleast, little Fiera thought so. She needed more of it, and damn it all to hell, it seemed impossible to get. It was that time of day again where iridescent rays of sunlight would blind her as soon as she stepped outside of the den. The ebony babe was awake, sort of. However, she pretended to remain asleep like she usually did. It was a daily routine by now, and Ennui had yet to fall for her tricks. Perhaps today would be different though; perhaps her mother would let her rest a little while longer just this once. Previous hopes rapidly vanished as the adult gently nuzzled her daughter, clearly indicating that the puppy wouldn't get away with it this time either. Now was the time for Plan B, it had taken Fiera quite some time to come up with it too. Yawning widely, the little one rolled onto her back before slightly opening her heavy eyelids.

Malachite orbs were simply peering at Ennui, sparkling with fake innocence. Neon optics betrayed the young princess; they always did. The alpha female knew her daughter well enough to see right through her, and that annoyed Fiera. Nonetheless, it couldn't hurt to try once more. Releasing a moan accompagnied with faint growls, the child began her act. "Moooom, m'stomach.. t'hurts. Need sleep." That being said, she shut her eyelids once again and simply used Sindri as a diversion. That fluff ball brother of hers was actually useful at times. "Sindri needs joo, y'can take care of him. I'll be fine." Oh, what a little drama queen she was. Sighing deeply, Fiera promptly went back to sleep hoping Ennui would fall for her newest trick.

Ennui was used to Fiera's tricks. She wasn't falling for it.

The mother laughed and picked her daughter up by the scruff of her neck. Ennui was gentle, not unkind, but certainly always very firm with her children. Miss Fiera, it is time to get up. I suspect you stayed up last night, which is all the more reason for you to get up now. Teach you. She carried her daughter out to the main chamber and set her down. Fiera was stubborn, but once she saw the food, she would be tearing it apart. Ennui knew her daughter well, and no amount of stubbornness could overpower early-morning hunger. Breakfast, love. Eat up. It'll wake you up. Then she scooped her head down and began eating some of the rabbit as well.

Oh, the joys of motherhood.

Do you want me to join since Sindri is kind of in the thread already, or is he just a background prop? It's ok either way, I've been kind of slcw lately.

Re: chasing rabbits [p - fiera]
Okiedokie, fun for the whole family. mwahaha.

It was bright. Super bright in fact, why was it that it got so sunny at the same time that it had been dark earlier in the month? It was crazy madness! And what’s worse, that darned sunlight was what kept Sindri from being able to get back to sleep. He turned his head from the sunlight, his crimson optics absorbing the darkness. And then he heard his sister speak. Sindri needs joo, y'can take care of him. I'll be fine."

Hey! That most certainly was not cool. Sindri had been completely content until he heard his sister use him like this. He was way more growned up then Fiera. His mother hadn't fallen for it, and had taken her into the other chamber. Finally, more sleep for Sindri! but he wasn't going to swallow his pride this early in the morning, and besides, he was never as sleepy as Fiera. Getting up was no problem, so he headed out to where the food was.

It was a rabbit. A fairly large rabbit too, and it looked so icky, lying limp on the floor. Icky.. Yet so appetizing, and Sindri wondered why his mother hadn't chomped him up and out for the rabbit as well, did she really believe Fiera's stupid story about him needing more special treatment?

"See, I didint need help attal!" Sindri said in defense, having carried himself all the way to the main chamber without the help of his mother. He gave a brief look to Fiera, and then looked back at the rabbit. He wasn't that hungry.

Re: chasing rabbits [p - fiera]

Here goes. Me, Fiera, Sindri is the order now.

Ennui smiled at Sindri, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning. She figured that Fiera's using him as an excuse had fired him up, which was good, because she would need to keep the young femme awake until the sun was up in order to keep her from going back to sleep. Chewing some rabbit and sighing, she began the usual morning conversation.

Morning conversation was something her family had done to keep the youngest ones awake in the morning. Talking and eating was the best way to awaken a young one, as her mother had always said. Of course, her mother was dead, but that was another story entirely. Ennui regretted that her mother wasn't here to see her daughter's children, or to help raise the pups.

Okay, guys. How do you feel this morning? She paused, then smiled gently. Other than sleepy or fake stomach-achy.
