Rob posted this on MySpace and I thought I would post it here for anyone not on MySpace...
So far, we've spent a few months coming up with a bunch of new songs, which is difficult sometimes. Most of the time it's a process that you do a little at a time....a few songs here and there, a section here....a chorus there....and after a while you have an entire records worth of songs to record....this time, we took on the task of writing a whole bunch of stuff at once....this can be pretty challenging to say the least.
So what we've come up with is 17 new songs to sort through....at this point, we've presented the songs to our producer, Jim Morris from Morrisound Studios and he'll give us suggestions....maybe a chorus or a verse section....sometimes the entire structure of the song is changed.We come up with the changes and present them to Jim at the next rehearsal.
Everyone has been open and has been listening and working as a team....no ego problems or anything of that nature what so ever...if anyone has a problem it would be me....but thats just frustration over having to learn the changes after learning them a few times previous.....but all of the frustration will be worth it in the end....i really believe that this CD will be great when completed....
