The current month is Patchwall, the first month of autumn, 586.
An influx of visitors, exiles and merchants have arrived, due not only to the booming trade that is taking place in Greyhawk but it's apparent safety in this time of war and uncertainty. So there is still much activity and business even though war surrounds the Flanaess. Events, stranger than normal, have began to manifest themselves on the streets of Greyhawk. For the moment, no one seems to know how or why these bizarre occurances are happening, although it is only a matter of time before they come to the attention of the powerful and knowing.
| This excellent hostelry is on of the best-kept secrets in the city. The secret is tacitly kept by most of the regular customers, and thus the inn is never too crowded. Rooms are rented for reasonable prices adn the crowd is general friendly. Weapons must be checked at the door, though armour may be worn. And if the inn is not crowded, neither is it ever empty. The food is excellent and includes the potato and rice dishes so common in the Free City, given the chef's signature with a tingling blend of spices. The inn also serves its specialty, roast venison, marinated and simmered for days resulting in a tender and moist haunch of meat with a delightful distinctive flavour. |
