The Vash + Meryl Theory
I truely believe that Vash+ Meryl belong together. In fact, I'm writing a kick ass story about the daughter they have (it's called TRIGUN INFINITE, if ya wanna know). I go to a shitload of TRIGUN websites and some of them have relationship theories. One theory in hot discussion is the Vash + Meryl theory. I've seen websites thaat believe Vash + Meryl will never work because Meryl reminds Vash of someone he loved + lost (Rem) and it would be painful for him to have a relationship with any female. BUT... I believe that in the last episode, Vash accepts Rem's death, and so he no longer mourns. Others have argued that Rem was like a mother to Vash, so he couldn't love anyone who reminded him of her. But haven't you heard of guys "marrying their mothers"? They find a sort of comfort in that. Besides, Vash was a boy when he loved Rem. He is now a (very hot) man and Meryl is a beautiful woman (at least I think so). And also, didn't Rem say that Vash's haircut reminded her of the one she loved and Lost (Alex)? Now picture this...suppose that the grownup Vash does resemble Alex and Meryl resembles Rem. Wouldn't that mean that Rem and Alex live and love through Vash and Meryl? I think that was what Yasuhiro Nightow meant to do. I want Vash + Meryl together, because that will make sense in the first part of my story....Ah, fuck it. I'm gonna write that anyway. Cuz that's the point of it. Vash + Meryl = Jenn (that's her name. She looks like Rem, but she has Vash's eyes). So...that's my two cents. Fuck you if you don't like the Vash + Meryl theory. I respect your opinion, but that seems to be the direction of the storyline.
