The Sky's the limit
K, this is a weird poem, cos I just let my thoughts go wild... I've never really written a poem and don't really know where to start but there were things that I felt I wanted to get off my chest somehow and I'm not really into writing fanfictions so much anymore I guess. I hope you think it's weird but that you can relate to it I guess. Anyway here goes...

I cried and I cried when I thought you weren't there.
he told me you weren't and I believed him
I wanted to cry U saw me cry
alone in my room with the lights out
I tried to find you but i swear i couldn't see u
u said look harder but i got really tired and fell asleep.
outside the winds blew and i got scared cos the house shook i thought it would fall down. i was afraid people would see me wearing no clothes.
then it rained and i knew it was over.
when the house fell down i tried to cover myself i was so ashamed at what you'd say.
you told me you'd seen it before.
i said liar and ran away for cover.
i was cold and hungry and frightened and cried.
i shivered in a corner and waited for you to come and when you didn't i hated you.
I got so hungry though i came out and tried to find you again. i wouldn't blame u if you hated me, I said.
u told me you love me but i still don't get why.
a man came over and i was happy to see him so i blew him a kiss and he fell over. i didn't know he was made out of paper. i blew and blew on You but you didn't change. i laughed and then i floated way up in the sky. i waved to everyone on ground. they jumped and jumped and tried to touch me. they couldn't believe i was real. everything began to look really small from here and then i closed my eyes and let the sea take me on a trip. i lay on the waves and they tickled and soothed me. i could still hear the muffled sounds of the people below me and i wanted them to come and swim with me so i pulled some up. some couldn't swim and fell back down. some swam with me and it felt good having someone to talk to again. the journey was lonely.
i asked for directions. where am i going? i said. He smiled and rocked me to sleep with knowing sighs and sweet lullabies
of my distant city and
life to come
I cooed and giggled, high from the trip
and floated and soared and
thought He's really not a drip.

There once lived a little girl

There once lived a little girl
she lived in a shoebox at the bottom of the stairs
giants stepped over her
she would cry because she was afraid they would crush her
one day the box opened and she was free to run but she was afraid to leave her safe box because she didn’t know where else to go
she tried to follow the beam of light that came from the small crack in the door
but on her way she got tired and fell asleep
wake up, she heard a voice say and follow me
she couldn’t see him but she tried to follow anyway
the light went out and she tripped and fell and broke her heart
she cried for days
a hand lifted her and kissed her broken heart better
now she could walk
the light became brighter and it was clearer where she was going
she wasn’t so afraid anymore, she tried to convince herself
when she reached the handle of the door mummy and daddy called her back
she cried, waved and blew them a kiss goodbye
she blew too hard and they were thrown back into the darkness behind her where she couldn’t see them anymore. She was anxious and searched for them in darkness but the more she looked, the more lost she became. Darkness grew all around her and she became afraid.
She fell on the floor and wept and crawled to find the box she had escaped. She cursed herself for leaving it in the first place.
suddenly the door opened wider and she looked up in fright
she stepped into the light and suddenly began to float on clouds, they flew her over mountains and the ocean real fast, she was excited
she enjoyed the ride so much she laughed for the first time in years
sunrays bathed her and she swam through the currents that tossed her up, down and round and round
water pushed her deep so she could see all the lands that she had left behind, they were lifeless
it hurt her eyes to look at it so she turned away and swam to the sun
it got hard though so she stopped for a rest
it was night
a nice man appeared and told her to go back to the box, there’s no such thing as the Sun, it’s an illusion he said
she believed him and disheartened she followed him back to the shoebox
On the way the Sun rose, shone on the man turning him into dust.
She cried and realized she was all alone again
She cursed the sun for leaving her alone and walked back
On the way the sun was scorching and the water dried up
She was thirsty now but she didn’t want to admit it yet, just a couple more days, she said and I’ll be fine
A year passed and she walked through the desert, starved and hungry and alone now, all had left her alone.
I’m tired, she said.
She collapsed.
When she awoke she was being lifted into the air. She didn’t know what was happening but laughing she let herself fly in the air. It felt real good.
