The current month is Patchwall, the first month of autumn, 586.
An influx of visitors, exiles and merchants have arrived, due not only to the booming trade that is taking place in Greyhawk but it's apparent safety in this time of war and uncertainty. So there is still much activity and business even though war surrounds the Flanaess. Events, stranger than normal, have began to manifest themselves on the streets of Greyhawk. For the moment, no one seems to know how or why these bizarre occurances are happening, although it is only a matter of time before they come to the attention of the powerful and knowing.
| center>This is the finest of all the Free City's genteel clubs. Guests are expected to dress well at all times, with silk or satin evening wear expected after dinner. The club opens late in the afternoon and does not close until very near the dawn. A 'members only' establishment, the club admits most anyone who is properly dressed and groomed and pays the annual membership fee. The Patricians' Club offers several large gaming rooms, offering all manner of dice and card games. The cellar has been made into a fine restaurant, the city's best and most expensive. A smaller eatery. as well as ample bar space, share teh first and second floors with gambling activities. The third floor is a huge, marbled hall, available for rental. It has been the scene of many of the city's grandest weddings and balls. |
