The Good Old Tennis raquet!!!
Okay, following on from a discussion on another board (and a brief chat with Rob the other night), I was wondering what cd's is everyone getting off to lately (I don't mean the ones you masturbate too....)? What cd's have you reaching for that Gibson Air Guitar.

ALSO...which cd's could you not live without?

Currently annoying Nix in the car is Starbreaker on repeated play. This album has grown on me so much lately that its become essential listening, that I can see Nix threatening to kill me if she hears it one more time.

Self made cdr of Slipknot and Stone Sour. I do seriously think that Corey Taylor is a fantastic singer and Slipknot are very very clever musicians. Joey Jordison is a mental drummer.

Last years releases from TNT and Tesla have been getting some serious hammer lately also. Both stunning returns to form from two fantastic bands.

Been playing the Soul SirkUS cd a lot also...BUT I can't seem to get totally into it.

Albums I couldn't live without....in no particular order.....
UFO-Strangers in the night and Wild Willing and the innocent
Honeymoon Suite-The Big Prize
Thin Lizzy-Live and Dangerous, Black Rose
Queensryche-Operation Mindcrime
Lillian Axe-Poetic Justice
Dream Theater-Images and Words, Scenes from a Memory(Metropolis II) and Train of Thought
Triumph-Allied Forces
Scorpions-Lovedrive, Blackout

as well as countless others.

P.S. I posted this so Rob could reveal his secret love of The Osmonds, Gloria Gaynor and Father Abraham and the Smurfs!

Ok....here what i've been into lately.....in no real order....

Shadows Fall - War Within - absolutly the best metal CD i've heard since Master of Puppets....

Lara & Reyes - Exotico - Like Racer X for flamenco enthusists. Plus they add an element of real jazz....great recording too with each guitar panned hard to either side....almost sounds like a live gig....

Crimson Glory - Trancendence - an oldy but a goody produced by non other than Jim Morris....love the bass and drums on this one...

The Jorn Lande Collection (Ark, Millenium, both Masterplans and Out to Every Nation) - What more can i say....it's Jorn?

Sade - Best of - Killer grooves.....killer songs....this chicks voice gives me a bone....

Stanton Moore - All Kooked Out - Most ridiculous drummer around....this CD makes me want to dance around and boogie....

Killswitch Engage - The End of the Heartache - Badass all the way through....blinding metal with awesome chorus....

King Diamond - Them - One of my favorite CD's all the way through....great drumming....great guitars....

Praful - One Day Deep - Love this disc....cross between Moby and Yulara meets smooth jazz....

And yes Andy....i know what you mean about the Soul Sirkus CD....doesn't really tickle my bollocks either....and no....i'm not kidding about the Sade CD....everything doesn't have to be rocked out and metallized for me to like it....

Late

Rob
