The Da Vinvi Code
Ok, I have been reading a lot more than normal lately, whether for school or personal enjoyment. Here are a few titles, and I have one more that I cannot recall off the top of my head pertaining to psychic phenomenon *sp?* that I will post later.

The Da Vinci Code
by Dan Brown

One of those books that you a) can't put down, and b) are nervous about referring it to people. Dan Brown is remarkable, he reads nothing but classics but accurately reflects modern writers in his own unique flavour. Anyone who enjoys conspiracies dating back to the founding of the church, how the church twisted history and the story of Jesus, the divine number that all things in nature follow, the symbolism in Da Vinci's paintings and why the churches turned them down, the story of the Mona Lisa, the search for the Holy Grail, the sacred feminine, and other controversial matters, will love this book.

Though it sounds a slow, heavy read, it is quite the opposite. At around 450 pages taking place in 24 hours, it is very fast paced. Dan Brown perfectly weaves facts of the Opus Dei and the Priory of Sion to the point where the boundary is lost.

The Louvre in Paris' curator is murdered by an albino, but not before he can plant obscure clues to solve his crime. Langdon, a Harvard professor of symbology, quick, witty, and smart, is falsely targeted as the culprit. A chase begins to solve the mystery, taking readers to famous points in England and France in amazing detail.

I highly recommend this book.

Now that sounds like my type of book. I will be watching out for it. Plus a good friend of mine would love it too. Thanks.

Re: The Da Vinvi Code
Dan Brown has also wrote "Angels and Demons" and is working on his third Langdon book. The "Da Vinci Code" will be coming out as a movie in 2005; Ron Howard is directing it. If they really visit these places and film there, I will pay almost any price to see it.
