NateDizzle Member Posts: 77 (9/18/04 11:51 am) Reply	Rope effect Since this section doesn't get much action, I thought I'd post up a marble/pendant trick I like. I've only done these with fume, but they probably work with color. Fume the tube like you're going to make a ratty, and lay the first set of lines. then spin only one full spin, it is important to not spin these much. then fume a contrasting color, and lay the second set of linesin the standard ratty form, then spin the same way as you did previously, instead of opposite. then fume again, and lay a third set of lines and again spin in the same direction. the overlap of each line tends to twist 3 dimensionally in the glass during each secondary spin, leaving a spun rope look.
