Caliandra walked down along the train tracks, just content to be away from the Opera House. She spent most of her time there and it was good to get out every once in awhile.
Plus, the Opera House just reminded her of past mistakes. Like her bitchy little outburst soon after meeting Alexios Torez. Which she regretted, of course, since she had liked Alexios quite a bit. Quite a bit? Well, he was okay. Kinda. Cj shrugged. He was alright.
Stumbling on the tracks, she remembered what she had said, that first day with Alexios. People want you dead, Alexios. Dead. Don't you see that you're safer here? She hated herself for that...
Sighing, Cj continued down the tracks. It was awfully lonely in Arciero now..Sita was with Corey and Cj wasn't too concerned with the new people. And in that moment, Caliandra Levin realized why she had been so unhappy. I miss Alexios.
His suit now fully repaired, Alex strode the station platform proudly, his rifle held infront of him, pointed to the side and down. His helmet completely covered his face, emitting very quiet beeps and screeches, like a modem trying to connect to an internet service.
He was here for one reason; plotting to escape. He needed to think up a perfect escape route, and he had seen, whilst viewing Arcerio through the digital scope of his rifle from the roof of the Opera house, that the train station looked dead and empty, the railway lines seemingly branching off into the distance. He couldn't view from the roofs whether or not this would be a suitable escape route, so he decided to come and check it out, not expecting to see CJ walking along the tracks.
Though his smile cuoldn't be seen through his helmet, he gently picked up his pace, the sound of his heavy boots echoing through the train station as he walked nearer to her. Getting within ear range of her, he called,
"Hey!"
His voice, of course, didn't sound like his own. It wasn't muffled under his helmet, like you would expect, it was completely digitalised, making a tinny and dry sound, but the word was distinguishale,
"CJ!"

At the sound of her name, Cj spun around. It sounded...different...but it was definitely her name. She was slightly surprised to see a soldier that had to be Alexios. It was a soldier, first off...and so was Alexios. But with the way he..moved...with the way he carried himself, Cj knew it was him. But just to be sure...she called back softly. Alexios...?
Caliandra smiled, it had to be Alexios..and God, was she glad to see him. She wanted to go tear off the helmet, wrap her arms around him and lean in to share this amazing, mindblowing kiss..but she figured that it probably wasn't a good idea...especially since it had probably taken a long time to fix the helmet. Still, she grinned at the soldier standing in front of her, waiting for him to come closer.
I still have no future here.. but maybe I will soon?

As he continued his walk towards her, he could see in her face she was happy to see him. It was something he had never experienced before, and he smiled inside his helmet.
Swiftly he tightened the strap on his rifle and slid it round onto his back, before placing both hands on his helmet, turning it slightly clockwise. As he did, the noises it emitted shut off and he lifted it off his head, his glowing orange eyes looking eying CJ up from a distance as he smiled and gave her a small playful salute as if to say, "Yes, it's me alright!" He continued towards her.
Only meters from her he clipped his helmet onto the belt of his suit then stopped pretty much infront of CJ and smiled, shrugging a little,
"It's all fixed now! All the suit works!"
After a few seconds he smiled and closed his eyes, before relaxing after his fast paced walk and opening re-opening his eyes, looking into hers,
"It's nice to see you again CJ. How've you been?"
Caliandra giggled at his salute but was slightly surprised that she had done so. Caliandra Jade Levin does not giggle. Or..hadn't for a very long time, at least. She smiled softly at him as he stood in front of her, saying that his equipment worked. She chuckled. Equipment. She looked up at him and nodded, careful not to let him know that she was actually disappointed that his suit worked. He got the suit working..it meant that it was only a matter of time before he left Arciero, and Cj, forever.
Now, seeing his orange eyes looking at her, she felt shy..unsure of herself...like she wasn't worthy of his attention. But she just couldn't look away. She'd miss those eyes, she realized. She forced another smile and blinked back the tears that threatened to fall. I've been alright, Alexios. I've been thinking about you...You have the suit working. I'm sure you're happy about that..how's everything else?
"Everything else?"
He shrugged a little,
"Alright, I guess. Me and Sita seemed to have made up finally. We actually got along well for a while."
Alex was never an expert at working out people's feelings, but looking into CJ's eyes now, told him that something was wrong with her. Carefully though, he didn't want to alarm her and let her know that he knew something was the matter. Instead he smiled a little and gently cocked his head to the left,
"You've been... thinking about me...? Man, that must be boring!"
He smiled playfully at her, trying to cheer her up a little, before his smile faded and he looked carefully into her eyes, trying to search her emotions and figure out what was wrong,
"In what way though? Why would you think about me...?"
Cj grinned. Sita was the first person I met when I came to Arciero. She's my..friend, I guess. Caliandra chuckled until Alexio's next question.
Yeah..yeah, I've been thinking about you. Smiling softly, her cheeks slightly turning pink, she looked down at her feet. But, no...It's not boring..
She smiled back, not wanting to worry Alexios. But when he asked his last two questions, her smile quickly faded. Um...I don't know. Just kinda wondered if you were even still here... Cj shrugged. And I guess I was thinking about you 'cause..I kinda missed..you? Her voice cracked and she quietly cleared her throat. Yeah..I missed you, Alexios..
Caliandra looked up at Alexios, a smile tugging at her lips.
"You..."
He didn't know what to say. As far as he could remember, he had never been missed before,
"I..."
Seeing her cheeks turning pink slightly, he bit his lip slightly before he smiled and closed his eyes,
"To tell the truth CJ, I've... kinda been thinking a lot about you too... you were, the first person to be truly nice to me... and... you tried to actually persuade me to stay here, as opposed to Sita, who tried to forcfe me to stay here.."
He chuckled quietly, suddenly realising what was wrong with her earlier. His smile faded and he looked softly into her eyes,
"You.. don't want me to leave... do you..."

Cj smiled softly, hearing that Alexios had been thinking about her. She felt..special...for the first time since she left home. She couldn't hide the smile that was plastered on her face for all to see. But, like always, the smile quickly faded when Alexios figured her out.
She tried to choose her words carefully. No, Alexios...I..I don't want you to go..
She looked away, unable to stop the tears that rolled down her cheeks. Even though she knew she'd sound needy and pathetic..she couldn't help herself. Please..please don't go..
It felt like a lump in his throat at the site of her suddenly crying, and for just a brief second he felt awkward, not knowing fully what to do. But something deep inside him told him what he should do.
Carefully, he took a step towards her and pulled her slowly into him, holding her close and slowly rocking her,
"I... I'm sorry CJ..."
He felt his words would probably mean nothing to her right about now, but he had to try. It was true, he had, deep down missed her. He had been kidding himself when he told himself they shouldn't be friends. He wanted her as a friend at least, but he knew full well that it would mean leaving this place would be hard, and if she was anything more, it would make his leave impossible.
With another sigh, he closed his eyes,
"I'm so sorry..."

Caliandra melted into Alexios, feeling like she belonged there...like Alexios wanted her there, wanted her period. But, of course, the words spilling from Alexios' lips said something completely different. Alexios didn't want Cj, he wanted out of Arciero and Cj knew that she'd just have to live with that.
But knowing that didn't make letting go any easier..especially now, his arms around her, holding her close. She had to stay strong, she had to stay sane.
It's fine, Alexios. She pulled away..not because she wanted to, but she knew she had to; had to let him go. She brushed the tears away and looked into his orange eyes. It's fine. She smiled a half-smile and turned to leave.
Pausing, she turned around and took a couple steps toward him. Doing something so completely unlike her, Caliandra placed her hands on Alexios' shoulders and leaned in slightly, pressing her lips to his. She pulled away and nodded once. There.
And with that, Cj turned and took a couple steps away from Alexios.
It was amazing. Both the power of the kiss and the kiss itself. Alex just felt everything inside him melt and turn as she kissed him. It took him by surprise, and all thoughts in his mind suddenly dissappeared.
As she walked away from him slightly, he watched in awe of her, a strange new feeling crossing over him. Leaving, was no longer what he wanted. What he truly wanted, was standing right infront of him.
Did he really have to leave? Yes... but then... no... it was in her company earlier when he had decided he would leave, and wouldn't change his mind for anyone... but... CJ wasn't just anyone.
"I... just... don't have a reason to stay... or..."
He frowned a little, biting his lip gently, feeling normality restore to them, rather than the sudden craving for more of her touch, and to somewhat feel if he was dreaming or not,
"I'm not so sure anymore CJ... something I didn't think would happen.. might have happened... I'm... not so sure... "
He narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the empty railway station,
"What if... I was to stay... for you..?"
He was rubbish with words, and he damn well knew it, but he hoped his point was gotten accross. His worst nightmare in his plan had come alive, and turned out, so far, to be his dream come true. Suddenly, he wasn't so sure about leaving, and the reason why stood only a few feet from him.

Cj turned suddenly. What? She shook her head. Don't stay for me, Alexios...
Caliandra cursed herself silently. She didn't want to get in the way of what Alexios wanted. Hell, did Cj even know what Alexios wanted? She sighed, looking at him. Don't..let me...be the reason you stay here...
Yes, she wanted him to stay. Yes, she wanted to see him around Arciero. Yes, she wanted him..but..she didn't want to get in the way...
She sighed, trying to answer Alexios' question. If you..were to stay for me..I.. She sighed again, If you were to stay, I'd be..really..happy? She paused, the continued. I'd be...thrilled. She was nervous and she knew that Alexios could tell by her stuttering, her choice of words.
She knew she'd regret what she was about to say, but she figured it had to be said. But..would he even want to? Did he want her? Want to be with her? She couldn't wait to ask this..it was now or never.
Cj looked at Alexios, smiling through the tears. If you were to stay for me, I'd be yours.
Alex smiled slightly, nodding. Of course he wanted her, but only if that was what she wanted to,
"I'd... like that... if of course, that's what you want too.."
He smiled slightly, feeling some feeling inside him he'd never properly felt for as long as he could remember,
"Yeah... I'd love that..."
He chuckled slightly and nodded, looking at her, direct at her eyes, "But only if it's what you want. I mean, I want it too... but... please don't say it if it's just for my sake... say it if you mean it.. do you want it? Do you really want me to stay? Do you... want me?"
He smiled slightly, expecting her to now suddenly laugh and say it was all a joke. It all seemed too good. If it was true, it would be perfect, but Alex was used to not having everything perfect, so why sudenly would this go flawless? There had to be a catch... surely...?

Caliandra nodded. Of course I mean it. And she did, of course. Since the day they met in the Opera House, she had wanted to be with him...God, how pathetic. How childish to have a silly little crush on a guy.
But it wasn't silly and it wasn't little...she think her kiss proved that.
With his last statement, Cj grinned and ran back to him, throwing her arms around him and pulling him close. Really, Alexios? Do you mean it? Are you fucking serious? She was laughing now, practically giddy.
Then, all of a sudden, she sobered up. There has to be something more..there's no such thing as 'happily ever after' for Caliandra Levin...
He nodded, smiling,
"Even when I first met you, I liked you a lot, but, I just knew it was a ad idea to like you that much, if I was going to try and leave here. But, I don't care anymore. I don't want to leave. "
He held her close, before shaking his head and smiling,
"Unless there's something more on your side of things, then no, there's no catch. No such thing as a happily ever after? Pfft! I know the feeling... but.. there's a first for everything.. isn't there.."
He looked into her eyes and smiled. There was definately a first for everything.

Cj smiled softly. First time for everything.... I guess you're right, Alexios.
She said it, but didn't believe it..not a word. 'Happily ever after' was for childhood bedtime stories, sappy adult romance novels...not for Cj, not for Alexios, not for anyone real. But Caliandra stood there, smile plastered on her face.
Yes, she was happy that Alexios has chosen to stay. Happy? More than happy. No words could possibly express how thrilled she was. But still...even though she was here with Alexios...there was still some doubt tugging at the back of her mind. Would he really stay? Did he really mean everything he said?
