Hi everyone, my name is Rachael and I have MEN 1. I was diagnosed when I was 17yrs old and am now 35. I have had 75% of my pancreas removed, three parathyroids removed and one reimplanted in my right forearm. I have also been diagnosed with a pituatary tumour. For most of my life I have been blessed with relatively good health but now things seem to be going out of whack.

The thing I find to be worst about this disease is how isolating it is. I feel very alone and very frustrated due to the fact that there is so little known about this disease. It seems that I can never get a straight answer about things, everyone feeling their way in the dark. I'm very interested in talking with other people who have this disease. My email addresses are rasewell@northwestel.net and rachael.sewell@gov.yk.ca.
