My first referral is...
The Encyclopedia of Dreams
Symbols & Interpretations
by Rosemary Ellen Guiley
(Berkley Books)
**********************
If I had to recommend just one book to help you to understand your dreams (and there are so many!), I would hardily recommend this one!
Rosemary Ellen Guiley is a wonderful author who takes you by the hand and easily leads you thru the steps to dream analysis. From 'abandonment' to 'zoo', her interpretations of dreams rings well and true.
While I am of a mind to what constitutes a 'true' definition, Rosemarys' will help you to define your current dreams while you find your own way. Keeping in mind that no book will hold ALL the answers that are right for you.
I have been reading dreams for more years than I care to admit aloud, but still find myself referring back to this jewel! Anyone interested in learning more about this subject, would benefit greatly from this book.

Faith,
Where do ya want me to start!? LOL! There are many out there. Don't go off willy nilly buying everything in site. It would help if you knew what aspect of the religion you are looking for. Solitary? Group? What twist? Native american? Modern? So many choices eh?! A good author is Silver Ravenwolf. She has a trilogy of books that will help you to gain some insite. But remember, all books are to be used as a guide on your journey. Not to be taken entirely literal. Pick and choose what works for you best.
Buckland is another great one. Altho you have to work around the male aspect of it all. He is Gardenerian based. But his book The Complete Book Of Witchcraft is the best beginner book I know of. It covers history, tools, herbal, medicinal, choices & preferances...It covers just about everything you basically need to know. I highly recommend this as a beginner's book.
Good luck and don't hesitate to ask before you invest. I have read alot of them and what I haven't my friend has. Alot out there is trash. And after reading, don't forget to share your opinions here!!!
Re: My first referral is...
I know I have an interest in native american, and I know I will practice solitary.
My interests are in the stones, runes, etc as well.
I did get Bucklands book and will be reading it shortly.
Thanks so much for your help.
It is not easy to live life sometimes
And face the world with a smile when you're crying inside.
It takes a lot of courage to reach down inside yourself,
Hold on to that strength that's still there,
And know that tomorrow is a new day-with new possibilities.
But if you can just hold on long enough to see this through,
You'll come out a new person-stronger,
With more understanding and with a new pride in yourself
From knowing you made it

Ah, Native American eh? Then you definately need to check out Silver Ravenwolf. She has a trilogy of books to help the beginner. The first has a few thiongs I disagree with. But that is for you to interpret!
Re: My first referral is...
cool. I have Ravenwolf's Teen Witch right now.
I think I will finish Buckland and than hit that one.

)To Ride a Silver Broomstick
2)To Stit a Magic Cauldren
3)To Light a Sacred Flame (may have this title slightly wrong)

Re: My first referral is...
My pleasure indeed my dear! Told ya to let me know before you buy, unless you feel a compulsive intuitive pull. Then go with it. But just general read, my friend and I have between us a vast library and knowledge of these books. Lots of crap out there. I recommend asking other fellow witches first their opinions.
The few people I have found that study all say the same thing:
Cunningham, Ravenwolf.
So that is where I shall stay for now.
Thanks again.
Faith
