Momka Colors Suck, a review and oppinion.
Yep, that's right, the new colors Momka Peeva is making suck monkey ass, so far anyways.
I have used the Green pearl, black rose, blue lightning ( I think it's called?) and one other, the golden yellow crayon...not sure the name.
Cracks, boiling, checking, reducing... UGH. They're just crap. Very pretty colors, I really like the way the green pearl looks.. BUT.. you can't encase it, you can't encase with it, you can't reduce it at all, you can't mix it down with clear to get a better color, you can't pull it straight, it's seedy, inconsistant, and brittle in rod form. As far as I can tell they're like the colormax colors: nice, but only self compatible.
There's a few colors I do really like tho. Silver Beach works great, if a little bubbly in the rod, and the translucent silver/cobalt color, dunno the name, is buttery.
Since I didn't buy the color I used I don't really care about the sample pieces that I made breaking, but my shopmate I don't think should pay for the glass. The glass he recived was seconds quality, shattered in shipping, and once used just doesn't work.
In all fairness, this was our first order from momka, maybe there was a slip-up in the order or whatever, maybe the colors will im[prove... for the time beaing I'm sticking with NS, GA, and Elvis Ruby (cuz it's the fucking bomb)
