Cj shuffled her feet along the dirt outside of the convenience store. It was nearing noon and she was getting hungry - getting hungry and craving greasy potato chips. Grinning, she pushed the doors open and stepped inside. She figured that if there were chips somewhere, they'd be here. Of course she could've asked Sita...but Caliandra hadn't seen Sita in quite awhile. And quite frankly, she was glad. Sita was probably the last person in Arciero that she wanted to see at the moment. Since Cj had met Corey in the fields, she had been dreading the day when she would meet up with Sita again. Cj should've been going to Sita and spending time with her..just being with her.
Some friend Cj was.
But Caliandra had been nervous. Anxious. Certainly this was not an excuse, but it was the only reason Cj could give for her rude behavior. Sighing, Cj walked up and down the aisles of the store, looking for her midday snack.
Sita wasn't really thinking about Cj at the moment. She was more thinking about her craving for crisps. She was dying for some proper junkfood, being that she was pregnant once again. She would have wanted chocolate, but she wasn't sure if the chocolate bars at Arciero were quite alright, so she decided against it and went for the crisps instead. Making it to the convenience store to begin with was a feat all it's own... Her entire body was weakened from sleeping after her sexual escapade with Corey on the full moon night. It took more out of her than ever to have sex when she was so close to turning into a right monster. Of course, it felt so good at the time, she hadn't wanted to give it up or say no, but the next morning she'd had regrets. Sleep had been the only thing that was really that appealing, other than that she'd just felt sick. Very, very sick.
So she'd slept it off, knowing it wouldn't be slept off completely. It was a feeling she already knew. She was suspicious that she might be pregnant again, and secretly she was hoping it was true. Even though her body was broken from the first birth, she needed this child more than ever now. She just couldn't stand the idea that her child was dead, and she was determined to have a child. But right now, she didn't care about having a child as much as she cared about fulfulling her desire for potato crisps. She finally had made it to the convenience store, a walk that had taken three times as long as it should have because she'd been going slow, taking breaks, dragging her feet. But once she was at the door, she tore into the store and straight into the crisps aisle.

Cj had spent about 10 minutes looking for the potato chips. Sure, they were on like..the second aisle from the door, but the first aisle had a lot of things to look at. Things she hadn't had, much less seen, since she was a little girl. Her mind instantly filled with childhood memories...and, like always, the memories were painful. Images of her parents, her sister Tessa, and herself looking so happy...At home, at the park, even on the way to church. Now, Cj scowled. She had told everyone she didn't believe in God but the truth was that she couldn't possibly believe in a God that would take away her parents and now her sister.
Sighing, she stood in front of the crisps, picking a bag from the shelf. She looked toward the counter at the front of the store then back to the chips in her hand. Was she supposed to just...take them? Well, sure...who was here to take the money? ..As if Caliandra even had any. She shrugged and turned to leave but instead of seeing a clear path to the door, she saw none other than her darling friend Sita.
Sita felt uncomfortable. Cj wasn't who she'd expected to see, nor who she'd wanted to see. Pregnant with her second child, Sita was temperamental and often angry, despite her happiness that she was to have another child. She only hoped that this one would live. She balanced herself, crisps in one hand, free hand against her stomach. It was already swollen; the upside to having werewolf blood in her was that her pregnancies lasted only for five or so months. Last time, she'd only made it to three months. Now four months pregnant, her stomach felt like a balloon.
