With Forums on Lost Pets, Area Schools, Community Events, Making Friends/Meeting People, and Commuting Tips. These are all things we thought people would like to know about in the Hudson Valley. But, just like in real life friendships and relationships only work when you ASK people for help or ask questions or share experiences that YOU have had or things you would like to know.

Welcome to the Hudson Valley Area & welcome to an online place to meet new friends and neighbors in your new community !

It's just like a party. You only have fun when YOU are willing to talk and share the things YOU know and that YOU are interested in. Otherwise, everyone just sits around and says, I wish I knew someone or something to do !

Well, START HERE ! :) If everyone does that it works. Learn from others, Share thoughts and ideas. That is how you meet people and make friends. The signup is just to make sure that everyone behaves as guests should. We are not going to send you anything or sell your info. Act like an obnoxious idiot though and you are gone. A gift of power that we sometimes wish we had in real life !!!! Admit it ! LOL.. You do too... That annoying Brother-In law... The noisy Neighbor ! the NOSY neighbor...DELETE...! Ahhhhh...!!!

Other then that nifty feature It's just like a REAL community. You have to join it to really get anything out of it. It doesn't cost you anything. It's Free. There are no strings, ties or anything bad other then the hosting company's somewhat pesty ads. But hey ! That's life. ;)

To deal with the spam vultures pick a user name that is NOT the same as any email address that you would use. So SuzieQ is NOT a good idea if you are SuzieQ@aol or SuzieQ@Yahoo etc.They bulk mail every combo at EACH major ISP. So Try a variant MeSuzieQ, ZZZ1234 anything you would like. That's a tip we learned a while ago.:) You COULD learn OTHER neat things LIKE that. Just start by saying hello !

And give a look to the thoughts and items already posted. Poetry, travel tips, What ever you wish to share.

Ohh.. and thanks for dropping by ! AND this way you don't have to go on a house cleaning frenzy each time someone wants to say hello and chat. It's that easy.

Welcome To Hudson Valley Neighbors. Just like in our real community people are encoraged to be thoughful, considerate and helpful to their neighbors and fellow users. It's those who give of themselves that often impress us most, the volunteers, the ambulance people the volunteer firemen, the PTA, the school board people doing EXTRA to help their community. That's what we are doing here.
