Game Twenty-Six: 06/27/05
January 14, 1991
The Family Unit
When Cleo arrived back from her meeting with the Techs, she noticed two strange individuals waiting outside her home.
After she exited the limo, she approached the two and asked them who they were. The female introduced herself as, Zabrina Montov, a Tremere replacement sent from the emperor to help assist Cleo with her tasks since Marcie Herndon had met her untimely demise. The other, a male named Kasper Trenton, nodded at Cleo to intimate the same. Cleo told both of them to follow her inside her apartment, so as not to arouse suspicion with the locals.
Once inside, Cleo called for Margaret to attend to their luggage and boxes. She asked her to get assistance from the other three ghouls in the house. As the two were shown to their rooms, Cleo was flabbergasted at how she had acquired not one, but two replacements for Marcie. Maybe her hard work for Vittorio was finally paying off.
Cleo went to Zabrina’s room and asked her about her background. Zabrina stated that her Tremere specialty was languages, as she knew 37 of them. Enoch being one of them. Cleo tested her knowledge by switching the languages that spoke to Zabrina in. She was able to keep up and comprehend what Cleo was saying.
Cleo was impressed.
Zabrina also said that she came from the old country and had lost her eye due to performing a reading a book that shouldn’t have been opened. Though she didn’t express any sorrow for doing so.

Cleo stated that she would be interested in exploring more languages with Zabrina in the future. She replied that she would look forward to doing so.
Cleo retrieved her two books that she found at Ba’ashou’s home and presented them to Zabrina to decipher. She told Cleo that they were volumes seven and eight of the Books of Enoch.

This book provides the reader with the information to cast a ritual, which tells them to mark intended target’s ankles with 1bp of blood. This allows the spellcaster to see their footprints which are revealed in the ground that they had walked on.

This book provides the reader with the ability to call forth
the feathered friends to arrive in a mass.
History of Books of Enoch
• Ba’ashou received these books from Prince George of
D.C., a childe of Samal
• Before that, Samal took them from the great library
and kept them for many years.
• Originally, the books were perverted by Brujah before
recorded civilization.
Cleo thanked Zabrina then left her to unpack her belongings and turned her attention towards the male, Kasper Trenton who didn’t seemed to be forthcoming about much of his background. He seemed more introverted than Zabrina and more obstinate.

As she left Kasper’s room, Margaret told Cleo that she had a messenger waiting to deliver a package outside. Cleo went to sign for the parcel and was approached by the courier who had arrived in a limousine. How odd she thought. She signed for the package, then asked the Asian male who the package was from. He would not reveal the person’s name. Cleo was suspicious. The man agreed to open the briefcase within, revealing a brand new computer, one that would be useful to her in when she was documenting her scientific discoveries. The driver asked if she was satisfied with the contents of the case. Cleo thanked him and he quickly returned to the limo, which sped off down the street.
The briefcase suddenly started glowing with a green intensity. Cleo dropped the case and yelled for Margaret to stay inside the house. Zabrina and Kasper ran down the stairs and asked if they could be of assistance. Cleo asked them if they had anything to contain a potential bomb. Neither seemed to possess any items that would be of assistance.
Cleo immediately threw a forceshield around the item, which increased its glowing energy. Jacob Matteo arrived to the ensuing dilemma and was not able to think of anything that could contain it. Cleo then thought to condense her field around it, hopefully crushing it in the process. She told Jacob to chase down the car after describing it to him. He sped out of sight.
Cleo returned her attention to compressing the field, which took a bit more energy than she had anticipated. Suddenly the case and its contents exploded within leaving a glowing green spark within its remnants.
Jacob was unable to locate the car, but had it traced and found out that the criminals were sent by Melinda, Nabasha’s childe, as the car had been leased in her name.
Cleo vowed that Melinda would meet her end, and very soon.
January 15, 1991
Christmas Arrives Early
The next night, another package arrived, which concerned Cleo. This time the package was addressed from Peter Dorfman. Inside were three long cylinders that seemed to connect together at the ends. The golden staph was not showing any signs of being activated nor did seem like it was harmful. Cleo ran a spirit’s touch on it and was able to discover a bit more about the gift.
Golden Staph of Power
• Requires 30 bp to activate it.
• Allows holder to channel one’s energy through it then amplifying it to an enormous but undocumented degree.
History
• The staph laid on a shelf for 100 years, unused.
• Before that, it was given to Peter Dorfman by a female
vampire. She was a lord at the time.
• Prior to that, a mortal had it.
Cleo thought it was a present for her trip back in the past to find Damien and stop Hirut from meeting herself. Maybe a useful weapon against Hirut? Maybe a trap for Cleo? She didn’t seem to know. She set it aside in the dining room and was soon beckoned by Vittorio Ghiribaldi to return to the temple.
While a the temple, Cleo discovered some things about after doing a further spirit’s touch on one of the walls.
Temple of Cain: Main Hallway
• Built 985 years ago on the longest night of the year.
• It serves as a focus for amplification of one’s powers.
• The domes are more than just domes.
• It is a millennial temple to Cain.
• The temple possesses kindred magics older than
Tremere himself.
When they went down to the underground chamber room, Cleo discovered that the portal was activated by Damien by using his DNA to send both him and Jordan Bingham back in time. Preceding Hirut and her gang by a week.
Cleo also was able to discover that Damien was born on Friday the 13th, 1989, the day the temple arrived.
Temple of Cain: Portal Room
• When activated by the orbs, the lower half functions as a portal to various points in time and destinations along the nexus points.
• In the portal room is a map that indicates that there are 37 nodes in total with one in the center that pulses with strange emissions, beneath Roosevelt Island where Hirut was in torpor before reawakening to terrorize the Brujah clan.
• Below the portal is a central dais that has a cabinet that has a container for storing blood, requiring large amounts.
• Above is the sphere that rests on the column surrounded by 13 golden cylinders, exactly the same as the one she received from Nikolai.
Vittorio told Cleo that he had paid for the Tech to create weapons for the Tremere and that her and Jacob needed to pick them up the following week, when they would be finished. He told her he to return to Alexandria to ponder on what he would do with the enormous possibilities of power that the temple would give him as emperor of the local Tremere clan…
