Meeting with Ba’ashou
Jacob and Cleo went to find
Ba’ashou at her house in the forest near Fredericksburg. When they arrived at the front gate, they were greeted by an elderly female that guided them towards the back of the house. While there, Cleo could see Ba’ashou playing with Toby, the child they saved from Bozwell’s house. As she approached them, the child ran off inside towards the other woman. Jacob proceeded to talk with Ba’ashou while Cleo looked around and took in the surroundings.

The Gangrel Incident
After they were finished, Cleo and Jacob left the house and made their way back to his motorbike. Unfortunately, they wound up in the middle of a major battle between the Garou and the Gangrel.

Jacob decided to stay and help the Gangrel, which left Cleo completely alone near the edge of the woods. She was not amused. Once again, he would leave one of his “friends” in the lurch as he went off to play hero. She decided to activate her celerity and make her way to the gate at Ba’ashou’s house. In no time, she was at the entrance. On her way there, she could see the ravaging beasts attack one another.

Once inside, she encountered the strange faerie-like children that were under Ba’ashou’s protection. They seemed to be concerned about Cleo joining them in their playtime, which bewildered her. “The place must be obfuscated,” she thought. Before the children could persuade her into joining them in their bizarre games, Jacob appeared with Ba’ashou. She told them to hide below in an underground chamber. It would keep them safe for the night, while she protected the children.

The Morning After
When Cleo and Jacob awoke, Cleo could remember a dream that she had that night, in which a little girl had told her about an ancient city built long ago. This was the second time that Cleo could remember her dreams. “Could vampires dream,” she thought to herself?
Later, Cleo found two volumes of Enochian spell books that documented rituals for “calling birds” and “wilt grass.”

Cleo talked with Ba’ashou about her past and found out that she was a slave in the household where she grew up in the city of Sodom. This city was around during a dark time in vampire history. Ba’ashou was raised in the hatcheries and when she was a little girl, she had an imaginary friend. She was startled and looked at Cleo “It was YOU!”

Cleo was surprised to find out that she was Ba’ashou’s imaginary friend as a child. Ba’ashou said no more of this and quickly diverted the conversation to the children and what would be their fate. She said she would try and protect them for as long as she could, but they would eventually have to fend for themselves.

Jacob met back up with Cleo and both bid Ba’ashou farewell. They wondered if she could keep the children safe from the advancing garou and gangrel armies.

The Technocracy
When Jacob and Cleo arrived back at Bricktown, Cleo called Vittorio and he reminded her about her meeting with the Technocracy. They quickly went to the tech car and headed to Falls Church, Vittorio’s territory.

Cleo eyed the local church that was next to their destination. Cleo felt an eerie presence when she was in the vicinity of the building. The people that entered seemed to be under some kind of mesmerism by the priest. Cleo thought that they needed to check it out before they left this evening.

Jacob called for Cleo and she diverted her attention to their meeting with the Tech.

Hadden Industries seemed unobtrusive in appearance when seen in its surroundings. Jacob and Cleo headed towards the front door and were greeted by the security guard. He asked them what they were doing here. Jacob replied that they were here to visit Mr. Hadden. The guard replied that he wasn’t there. Jacob then told him that they had a scheduled meeting. The guard checked his log book and told them that they needed to head over to Hadden’s residence instead. After receiving the instructions, both entered the car and left for their new destination.

They arrived at Hadden’s house located off of West 7 in downtown Falls Church. Jacob when up to knock at the door and it opened revealing a hippie who asked if they were here to party. They agreed as if to continue with the not-so-subtle ruse. Cleo could smell the stench of various opiates emanating from within. She tried very hard not to break out into laughter as she wondered if they arrived at the wrong location. They were told to have a seat in what seemed liked a very minimalistic, sixties-styled room, complete with beanbag chairs and peace symbols.
The host offered to share his drugs, but both vampires declined. Then he exited.

Time seemed to go on forever. Then an image of a conservatively-dressed man appeared on a screen that appeared on one of the walls. He questioned the two on what their kind could offer the Techs as this was a diplomatic mission and he needed assurance that his tech would not fall into the hands of the Mages nor be used against his own people.
Cleo assured that they were there to form a new union between the Tremere and the Technocracy and they would help deliver the mages to them as they were mortal enemies of the tech. Both parties agreed to help one another and then Jacob relayed the information for the items that he would need for him to construct. After a short time, the meeting was over and the man faded from the screen and the hippie re-entered the room to escort the two to their car.

Before heading back to Manassas, Jacob returned the two back to where the church was. They observed the priest beckoning more townsfolk to enter.

Cleo scanned the church and was able to surmise that the priest was a Giovanni. Cleo had heard of them and had known not to mess with this clan in their own territory. Although, what were they doing here? She was told that this area belonged to the emperor, Vittorio Ghiribaldi.

As they got back into the car she had an eerie feeling that they would someday find out what this individual was really doing inside the walls of this church and Cleo wasn’t too keen to find out.
