Game Thirty-One: 10/02/05
998,009 B.C. • Day 7
Meeting with a god
Cleo awoke and looked around Marcus’s plaza. Marcus soon arrived with another member of his clan, Oras of the Mehketim. Oras seemed like an obnoxious prat even with the language barrier that separated both him and Cleo. She could feel someone trying to pry into her thoughts and suspected that it was him. Under her breath, Cleo expressed, “You’ll have to try harder than that.”

Marcus told the group that it would be in their best interests to not use their time manipulating powers as it would be forbidden.

Marcus told them that he was instructed to take them to meet Mekhet, their leader, and god. The group agreed, as Mekhet was a powerful player in this time and, could possibly help them find Damien. Not to mention, helping the group stop Hirut from bringing about Gehenna.

Thane, Marcus’ lead ghoul, entered the room and was commanded to bring his servants to him so that Marcus could feed. “How barbaric this society was,” thought Cleo. This intellectually superior clan was light years ahead of the others of this time, yet the way they treated others was more primal in nature. Their understanding of quantum theory applied to spatial dimensions and time wave particles, an understanding that surpassed even hers, was astoundingly accurate to the millisecond. The way they kept time was very different to what she was familiar with.

Soon, the group made their way to the main tower of the palace of the city. Everything was black as onyx, no doubt made from the same basalt material that had been mined from the outskirts of the seventh ring of the city.

They arrived at the palace and saw many statues in the entranceway, Cleo recognized one in particular, Saulot. Everything in this place was stunningly colossal in size. They reached the huge double doors that separated them from Mekhet’s chamber.

Before the entered the room, Marcus told them, “Mekhet was their god and that no one may look upon her and they should not speak unless spoken to.” “And above all else, “DO NOT USE YOUR TIME MANIPULATING POWERS!”

The doors opened and the group made their way inside.
Cleo could see several young bald females within the chamber. Cleo asked Marcus who they were, and he replied that they were conduits for Mekhet and would serve to store information, much like a repository of knowledge.

The draperies waved through the air then gradually slowed as if it were running in slow motion. In fact, everything around the room faded to an eerie stillness which bothered Cleo as she had never experienced time manipulation to this degree.

When Mekhet entered the room, Cleo looked down, as she was instructed.

“So, these are the heretics that have broken our laws by flaunting their chaotic manipulation of time.”

“Are you spies from Shadom?”
Cleo replied that they were there under the guise of merchants from the East but were really in search of two individuals, Damien Luther Adams and Jordan Bingham.

Mekhet did not know of these names.

Cleo asked her if she had seen a blue light a couple of days ago, and this peaked Mekhet’s interest.

“I know of this light that you mention. There was a great disturbance in the flow of time, catalogued by the Elois of the Mekhetim. It was one that I personally felt.” These bringers of chaos, are they what you seek to find?”

“Yes,” replied Cleo.

“You are all abominations to the flow of time and should be destroyed.” “How did you arrive here in Enosh-called-gomorrah?”

Cleo told her about the time cabinet within the temple and that they were from the future. She also told her that they were looking for another, Hirut, who was trying to meet an earlier incarnation of herself in this city.
“Ah, yes the time temple that I created.” “So, you now possess this device?” Cleo nodded that it was so. “This Hirut, would bring about great chaos if she were to carry out her plan,” said Mekhet. Cleo agreed, and replied that they were there to try and prevent this from happening.

Mekhet agreed.

After some further explanations from the group as to why they were here, Mekhet gave her judgement.

“Marcus, you will accompany this group to make sure that they do not break our laws.” “You will also take Oras and help them find the ones that they speak of, for if this Hirut does meet herself, it would surely be the end of everything that we are and have created here in Enosh-called-gomorrah.”

Marcus agreed.

Mekhet left the chamber and soon time returned to its normal pace.
As the group left the area, Cleo noticed how one of the girls looked familiar to her. Taking one last glance back before the great doors closed, she could see that it was a younger version of Ba’ashou. Cleo told Jacob and he agreed to go back later and rescue her from her captivity.

The group headed back to Marcus’ plaza to form a plan on how to rescue the younger Hirut and Ba’ashou from their fates…
