Game Thirty: 09/25/05
998,009 B.C. • Day 5
Exploring Enosh-called-Gomorrah
The group entered the city of Enosh-called-Gomorrah from the sewers below. They could see a vast city within the fourth circle of the city’s enormous seven concentric areas that divided the land that permeated outwards.

After searching around for awhile, Cleo and Jacob noticed many townspeople in the local area.

They soon came upon a tavern that seemed to be filled with some of the local patrons. Cleo had Nuuk approach the innkeeper about what the procedure was for attaining a table in his culture. She replied in what seemed to Cleo, a different dialect than that of Nuuk. Perhaps Enochian varied as much as other languages she was familiar with.

Cleo noticed that the group was being observed by two individuals within the tavern. One was a silent and inconspicuous male vampire, the other was a female adorned with rich jewels, perhaps a socialite of this time.
The woman seemed very interested in the jewels that Jacob displayed to the innkeeper for payment for refreshments. Jacob noticed her fascination with his gemstones, especially one of the rubys that was displayed along with various other precious stones.

Jacob had Nuuk approach the woman and offer her the ruby as if to help in the façade that they were travellers from the East bearing merchandise for trade. When Nuuk asked her her name, she replied “I am Kausawan.”

Cleo cringed at the sound of her name. This was the female that Gutka had mentioned that they were to deliver the container to.
How ironic that they should be offering a gift to a Setite. “Wasn’t it the other way around”? mused Cleo.

Soon after, Kausawan was striking a conversation with Cleo and asked if they had a place to stay. Cleo replied that they had not had the time to inquire about a place yet. Kausawan then offered her place of residence to Cleo and she agreed the idea sounded nice but would have to talk with the group before making a decision. The woman began to leave, but told Cleo that when they were ready, the place would be open for them to stay.

Cleo’s attention then turned to the male vampire at the other end of the bar. She decided to try communicating with this individual by her newfound telepathy. Suddenly, there was a loud explosion and everyone ran to the front door to investigate. Cleo noticed the male vampire was making his way towards the back exit.

Jacob looked outside and when he turned to look back, Cleo could see the worried look on his face just as he barred the door shut.

Cleo complained that he was possibly sending unfortunate innocents to their untimely deaths. Jacob replied that it was dog eat dog or something to that effect.

They quickly made their way to the back and entered the courtyard where the male vampire was.

Cleo tried communicating with him and was able to get him to mention his name, Marcus of the Mekhetim. Cleo stated that they were merchants from the East, though Marcus didn’t seem to be buying it.

Everyone could hear the screams on the other side of the great wall that surrounded the grounds and decided to protect themselves from the onslaught of lupine that were attacking the townsfolk.

Jacob and Jeremiah activated their celerity, which seemed to upset Marcus. Marcus told Cleo that it was heresy and what they were doing would unleash chaos. He then asked her if they had arrived from Shadom, the dark city of chaos. Cleo replied that they were not from that city but from the East. Again, he did not believe her.

Soon, they could hear one of the lupines clawing at the tavern door.

Jacob told Cleo to take Nuuk and Marcus up the wall with her telekinetic abilities. Cleo agreed and seemed to accomplish the task with greater ease than before.

Soon they saw the beast enter the courtyard. It seemed to not notice the group on the wall, seven stories up. Cleo was amused by the creature as she had had enough of fighting the past couple of days and wished to play spectator rather than warrior.

Suddenly, Samantina appeared down below and tore at the beast with her dark shadow swords which split the creature in two. The group then made their way back down to the courtyard and proceeded to head further into the city to Marcus’ place, which he so kindly offered to the group to stay. Cleo pondered if his eagerness at accepting them in to his plaza was to keep an eye on them. Marcus was a Mekhetim, which were a clan of scientists that studied the effects of time.

Suddenly a werewolf leapt from behind Cleo separating her from the group. Cleo activated her force shield just as as the beast attacked. The force propelled its arm backwards, separating it from its socket. The Jacob took the opportunity to fire his new tech weapon at it, causing it o perish before their eyes.

Marcus seemed upset at Cleo’s tampering with time when she used her force shield, Cleo took note, as to not use her time-sensitive powers until they had exited the city.

The group made their way past the time institute, which towered over the city. Cleo wondered what great experiments were being observed, which piqued her scientific interests.

Finally they arrived at Marcus’ dwelling and quickly bedded down for the night in one of the rooms within…
