Game Session 7
My protégé reveals himself to be Damien Luther Adams, a Malkavian with a hefty rep and a pretty blood-price on their head. He eventually leads me to one of his friends, a Toreador by the name of George. This meeting, of course, draws more attention to my existence than I feel comfortable with and, on cue, a few Black Hand operatives decide to show up and crash the party. In their obvious show of desperation, their agents decide to take on a more fantastical appearance of smoke and red eyes.
George, Damien, and I make our way to the riverside where Damien decides to give me something else to question. He grabs my arm and Georges and makes me cut through reality like a bear tears at a hanging sheet. It’s difficult to explain at first, but the fuck if I’m going to try to explain anything that’s been happening to me recently anyway. After creating a sizable hole in existence, we hop into the hole. I can only speculate on the shit that happened next…
I think we were in a plane where distance ain’t there. All I had to do was concentrate, and I was there. It was, however, real fucking draining; like that draining I get from changing reality. A lot of the colors were different, too. We make our way, using this trick, to enter Manassas within seconds. Once there, Damien lead us to a strange barn with a secret inside. First, though, Damien uses me to tear a hole back to our plane for us to go through. Upon opening the doors, reality began bending itself around me; a temple far bigger than the barn hid inside. It’s marble finish just as immaculate as the day it was set. During the amazement I was experiencing, I remember a golden box suddenly appearing from thin air. Damien suggests that I touch the box in order to get out of this plane, I reach out.
With my hand outreached, another, different Damien grabs my hand and is pulled out of the box smaller than him. Confused, I look towards the now disappeared Damien for answers. The new Damien alerts us that we’re about to be discovered and apparently there was a security device on the front door. Frustrated, I used my form of deception, and turned us all into random werewolves. After plowing through the front door and making a scene, we all eventually get away.
We meet back up out in the woods and begin hearing the sounds of real werewolves. The long brutal howls in the distance are a constant reminder of trespassing. Then, to much of my surprise, Cleo and some of her friends find us, in the middle of the woods. Convinced she’s not what she says, I keep my mind about me. Cleo has been “around” far too much to just be some run of the mill Tremere. We’re… well, rather Damien is questioned about why we’re out here. He manages to get away with a lie, but I can tell Cleo already knows. There’s something about the way she looks at you, like she already knows what to say. Suddenly, Damien says, out loud, in front of everyone that I’m in the clan Ravnos, making me Julius of the clan Ravnos aka a target for the Manus Nigrum. Bewildered by what he has said, I use the last remnants of my willpower to make my self disappear so I can run away from the group of lunatics.
I head back to the front of the barn-temple thing, because during my ‘performance’ one of the Kindred enforcers, I think, saw straight through my illusion. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. She was the little girl from so long ago. She was a clanmate. I felt calmed and happier after asking her a few questions. Apparently, she’s kept her fingers in a few things and gave me a few good tidbits, such as Cleo’s affiliation with the Black Hand. Apparently, she’s being hunted as well. Finally… a mutual friend in this hell hole country. At least in Europe I could find friends to hide me if I needed.
The last bit I got from the little girl was the whereabouts of this Cleo St. Sebastian. Her attendance was sought for some retarded ball-thing at the Rothstein estate. Wonderful, another opportunity for stuffy vampires to call me names. I can’t wait. But, it was getting very late in the evening and the first signs of sunlight started to erupt all around me, so I take off to find some place to hide for the night. My restrain on my Beast is weakened yet again by the approaching sunlight, causing my actions to no longer be my own. Unfortunately, I force my way into where Damien and George happen to be hiding for the night. I begin to enter and animalistic rage when I suddenly die, ala the Kindred curse.
That night I dreamt again. For Kindred to suddenly start dreaming is a miracle, but for me it’s nothing more than torment. A dream of the medieval man and the blind, blue eyes… and… that spear…
Once I join the undead ranks again, I realize I had already awoken earlier and decided to latch unto George for a little bite to eat. I apologize for my Beast while I feel it’s snide looks on my neck. George’s blood was different than some of the blood I’ve tasted before, it was much older. There was a weird feeling with it, like that feeling I used to get after stepping out of the bathhouse, sparkling clean in the sunlight. I can feel myself radiating some kind of presence, but I can’t quiet understand what it is.
After my weakness, Damien informs me of where the Rothstein estate is located and suggests a disguise. However, I put up very little resistance, due to my low point of view of myself. I still couldn’t believe I gave into the Beast so quickly. Damien changes his appearance into that of the creepy little Joan, a Malkavian with no eyes. After, Damien changes me into one of Joan’s retainer-women. I love being disguised as women; they never see it coming…
