Loss of will
Cleo was taken back into the chantry to rest. Casie had retrieved the golden cylinder device and returned it to her before leaving. Alexi stayed outside to clean up the mess of the remnants of Selene and her vampires.

Alibis and Lies
Cleo awoke to see Cairns and Petrunich debating what they would do before the Council of Seven would arrive later in the week. Cairns was scared and frightened. Cleo told him to get a backbone as his fright was considered a weakness in the Tremere.
Cleo told them that it might be wise if everyone holed up within her chantry as they would better at defending themselves within this location with its planar portals. Alexi agreed immediately, but Cairns took some coaxing. Cleo told Alexi to have everyone in a lock down and silent study would be enforced while everyone was relocated at this location.
Alexi and Cleo talked within the orb chamber deep within her inner sanctum. They discussed many things. Cleo announced that she originated from the Sabbat. Alexi was stunned, but still listening. Cleo told her that her true allegiances lie within the clan Tremere and not to that disorganized band of rogues. Alexi admitted that she had been intimate with Peter Dorfman and was afraid of the items that might be recovered as they both had visited Mexico to find ancient artifacts and had managed to retrieve some of great power. One in particular displayed a man and woman embraced in battle with one another. Cleo asked if this was a statue of Cain and Lilith, as she had heard from Casie that Lilith walked this Earth once more. Alexi told her it was possible an said that the artifact was very powerful. No one had heard anything from Dorfman's estate, Alexi said. Not even from his childe. Cleo agreed to take a trip to his mansion and investigate to retrieve items before someone nicked them for themselves.
Cleo grabbed her stole and clasped her hand to the pendant that was adorned within. She was immediately teleported to the Dorfmen estate. She knocked at the door and the man servant answered. She remembered him from her previous visit. He asked her to enter as he said they were expecting someone to be coming. Cleo asked where Prentis was. He stated he did not know where Mr. Rathmore was. Cleo asked him to show her to Peter's private quarters as she needed to investigate for clues pertaining to Peter's death. He guided her to a brick wall at the bottom of a set of stairs and left her to attend to her business. Cleo used her ring to activate the portal allowing her to enter inside.
While in Peter's private quarters she saw many magic items, maps and sculptures. She had seen the map before as it was one of old Enoch, where she had helped Jacob Matteo track down Hirut. In another room she saw the artifacts that Alexi mentioned, all except the most important one. Cleo chose to spirit touch the far wall to see what had happened here recently. She could see that Prentis gathered a few items, one being the figure of Cain and Lilith and quickly fled the chamber. So, Prentis was making a run for it, had he been part of the conspiracy to kill Peter? Or was he fleeing from something else? Cleo decided to retrieve most of the magic items and statues to keep them in safe hands or more likely, use them in defending herself against the upcoming Sabbat attack. She returned to the man servant and told him that she would make sure that Tremere would be there soon to re-allocate the estate to someone else in the Tremere council. Then Cleo teleported back to her chantry to inform Alexi that the artifact had been stolen by Prentis. Alexi look worried. Cleo thought that if Alexi was worried, that it would be bad.
Cleo decided to venture outside to get some fresh air, not to mention, check her cell phone messages. Once outside, she saw that she had two messages, one from Casie, telling her that her mission in Anacostia was a success and the other from Pauline, who was nearby. Pauline arrived about her mission to masquerade as Jordan. Moments later Cleo could see someone coming up the driveway. It was Samal. He told Cleo that he needed to talk with her about the Nosferatu. He felt that he was going to be threatened by this clan and he wanted her help in taking them down. Cleo came up with the idea that Pauline should try to infiltrate the Nosferatu clan by resembling one of them. Samal projected his will within Pauline and she now followed his bidding.
Cleo would have to find another solution to the dilemma of her "shot-gun" wedding.
Samal mentioned that he knew of what was coming and that she looked weakened. She told him of her recent battle with Selene and told him that she was weakened by it. He suggested that she use some of his blood to strengthen herself before her upcoming wedding tomorrow. She accepted and immediately could feel its effects on her as her Auspex heightened quite a bit. Unbeknownst to her at the time her presence was increased six fold. He wished her luck at her nuptials and told her to be careful as he had seen the upcoming onslaught. He told her to enter Elysium with her right foot, not her left as that would surely be disastrous for her. That path would involve her being captured by Desmond Faerber, possibly destroyed. She thanked him for this information and returned to her inner sanctum.
She entered the orb and tried out her new clairvoyant powers. First she sought out the location of Meerlinda it didn't take long before she saw the face of t'Ukue staring back at her laughing. So this was t'Ukue's secret, she was really Meerlinda, who looked back at Cleo and said "time is running out for you, Cleo you have nowhere to run and when I get through with taking you apart piece by piece, you'll wish you had died." Cleo replied that she never had viewed Meerlinda as a rival as she had great respect for her power. The councilor didn't believe her. "I know you know who I am, and I must tell as I've told others that I renounce my background and am evermore a tremere through and through." "We shall see, Carmen." and she vanished. Cleo was worried that the enemy was here underneath her roof. Was their safety within the chantry an illusion? Did they stand a chance?
Cleo tried a second time, she sought out her grandfather who looked up and shook his fist at the air, calling her traitor to her people, Cleo tried to lie and say that she was doing all of this for him, he didn't believe her and told her that he would be there soon to exact his revenge upon her. She pulled away, disgusted but what she once had been.
The third time she tried to reach Prentis, who seemed to be performing a ritual with other vampires and as he looked up, she saw Lilith staring at Prentis as he yelled Cleo's name and screamed for her to get out of his mind. Lilith laughed and told him no matter that she knew their location as the time had come for the beast to awaken. Out of the pit in the center rose a huge, dark beast that quickly went over to Lilith as she told it to feast, which it did. On the vampires. Cleo pulled away, just as it leapt towards Prentis. She could hear his bloodcurdling scream from afar. That was close she thought to herself.
Cleo tried once more, this time, Karl Eickman. She searched for some time and finally found him within a helicopter with Desmond Faerber. He didn't like the intrusion and bade Cleo to get out of his mind. She told him the location of Lilith, that she was in a house on a mountain west of his location and was resurrecting something in a ritual held by other vampires. He was elated about the news and said they would be heading there. Cleo sat back on the settee within the orb and pondered if she could survive tomorrow's massacre …
