exegesis
\Ex`e*ge"sis\ n 1: an explanation or critical interpretation (especially
of the Bible) 2: critical interpretation of a text (especially of the
Bible)
ExeJesus \Ex`e*Je"sus\
n 1: A place to explore insights into the scriptures. 2: A place to
discuss and explore the meaning of God's Word as recorded in the Bible.
I believe that God
speak to us, His followers, through insights He gives us as we read his
word. Each of us bring a unique perspective and viewpoint to discussions
about the Bible, and I believe that God uses these unique and special
perspectives to give a fuller, more dynamic view of the scriptures than
one person might gain alone.
As I commit myself
to the study of His Word, I find that scriptures once meaningless to me,
suddenly come to life with a new and amazing power. Subtle threads of
thought and an interwoven connectivity possible only through supernatural
intervention become evident to those who seek them. Here I will be sharing
the insights I gain from my studies, and I hope (and encourage) others
will do so as well.
Again, as in other
forums, this is meant to be a place of learning and growth for those who
already take the spiritual and truthful foundation of the Biblical scriptures
for granted. Discussions about the history, the accuracy, the inspiration
and the value of the Bible would be better suited for the Foundations
of Faith forum.
Here we go!
