How Desmond Views Him
Kuan-Lin is favorite among Desmond’s inner circle of ghouls and is often seen with his charge by his right side. Structuring his criminal empire after the Yakuza crime familes of Japan, Desmond has appointed Kuan with the title of Saiko-komon. The honor is in name only, however; both the financial and legal arms of Desmond’s syndicate report directly to Jung.
Personality
When off-duty, Kuan-Lin has a cheerful, laid-back personality that makes him popular among both men and women alike. When he is working, however, he is fanatically devoted to his responsibilities and becomes cold and remote, speaking only to bark an order or demand an update from central command.
Kuan-Lin views both his employment and his eventual ghouling by Mr. Faerber as truly glorious. His life as a mortal was never-ending misery and this raw power that now flowed through his very veins was vindication for surviving it. He is immensely grateful to his domitor and fiercely protective of him and his interests.
Background
Kuan-Lin was born and raised in Taiwan to a lower-class family in a slum tenant on the Southern end of the city. Violence was a part of his life from an early age when his father, his mother and two older brothers were executed in front of him by a local gang leader. The state placed him in an orphanage until he was 18, after which he joined up with a local Triad syndicate as a low-level thug and drug runner.
He had been slowly making his way up the ranks of the Taiwanese criminal underbelly when he caught the attention of Jung, who was there by his domitor’s request to personally broker a sufficiently large shipment of Russian-made AK-47s. Mr. Faerber’s Chief Executive ghoul offered the young man five thousand dollars if he left with him, immediately, for work in America. To his credit, Kuan contemplated the offer for nearly three seconds before he agreed.

How Desmond Views Him
Desmond sees Jung as what he is; the guiding, iron hand of his organization. He is aware of his Waka-gashira’s sadist tendencies, but allows him a small amount of leeway in return for his unwavering devotion to his enterprise. And while his legal and financial counsel is more then adequate, its Jung’s ruthless tactics that are Desmond’s primary asset.
While his Waka-gashira keeps his men in line with threat of pain and death, he rewards them with the spoils of his enterprise. Desmond retains the men’s loyalty and admiration, while any negativity, and possible retaliation, is directed at Jung.
Personality
Jung is a quiet, polite man who wears black pinstripe hand-tailed suits and crisp, white linen shirts with a solid, red tie nearly every day. His face is always perfectly smooth and his hair is cemented in place with a slick, unmoving coat of gel and hairspray. He is polite to a fault, always bowing slightly when shaking hands or rising from his seat when a superior enters the room.
He is also a monster. And while he is very careful not to deal out pain and torment needlessly, as his domitor has given him strict orders not to, he has been known to be…excessive when the order is given.

Jung was raised with his three sisters in the western sea-side city of Namp’o. His father

How Desmond Views Him Jay is a recent addition to the Faerber Group. He has proven very useful and adaptive so far.
Background
Jung comes to Desmond from a "diplomatic" meeting in Beijing with the Cathay... or they prefer to be called the Kuei-Jin.
Desmond was repaying a boon to the elder Ventrue diplomat, Tiberius Gracchus, by investigating a matter in the Anarch-Free States. In a series of unprofitable and unfortunate circumstances, Desmond ended up in Bejing to provide security detail for his Ventrue elder, the Gracchus.
Desmond needed information and a cover, and found it in a rebel kid of a staid Senior Party Official. Desmond made a ghoul of this boy who hated his privilege so. Always despising his pampered upbringing and elitists schooling, Jay would often duck out of his lessons and spend time in his father’s garage, smoking and learning about engines and other “lesser” toils. This was seen as being beneath the son of a father so great, unless he would put his skills toward the Red Army External Force. He declined. Just as he was to be killed by some Party thugs, Desmond appeared and "saved" the flamboyant car enthusiast. Desmond knows that Jay was being attacked for political concerns outside of his control... not for refusing the Red Army, but Jay still thinks that his father sent men to kill him.
Desmond hopped on the plane with the strange creature (he had seen some of the illegal films from Japan about such things) and his international band of gun smugglers and protection men.
Jay knew much more than he let on... but he knew little of the Kuan-Lin. Desmond plucked him out of the situation and assured the thugs that they had killed the boy and sent his body to the bottom of the river, just as they were told. No one was the wiser, as Jay’s father is dead now anyway... such a precarious game, power.
Personality
Jay can be both engaging and sullen. His eyes light up at new gadgets, though and seem to have made a strange friend of a local Gangrel securiTech ghoul named Zach.
