Clipping Toe Nails I wonder if we should clip my rabbits toe nails. i'm not quite sure how to. We have some clippers for dogs feet, but I don't know if they work for rabbits. Thanks for all your help!! Amanda |

Clipping Nails...
Dog clippers work fine, I use them to clip my rabbit's nails. You should clip your rabbit's nails every couple of weeks or so. I find it helps to wear long sleeves and wrap a large towel around the rabbit, leaving only the paw/foot out that I'm going to clip. I find it helps to keep my rabbit secure and to keep her from kicking me. If you have clipped a dog's nails before it is pretty much done the same way. Just watch out for the quick at the end of the nail, if you do cut too close put some flour or salt on it. Here is a website that might help you some more: islandgems.net/nails.html
