Anyone had experience of the new ME-RPG yet?
I was wondering if any of you had seen or played the new Decipher Middle Earth RPG. If so, what do you think of it - I was a fan of the ICE version, especially the early titles and the early production levels (I do feel they were let down by artwork and production later, and some of the content started to get a bit tenuous at best!). Anyway, I', 'stuck' in Thailand at present, with only a copy of LotR to keep me going, so thought please!!

The RPG Adventure Game
Hello,

The new RPG still isn't out yet, but from the bits and bobs on the Decipher website it's looking really good. I got a copy of the LoTR Roleplaying Adventure Game (boxset) a few weeks ago.

Seen here

I've never been a huge fan of the Middle-Earth Setting, but it looked interesting none the less, so I decided to give it a go.

First impressions were 'this is pants'. In the game you play the actual characters from the film. This is going to change when they release a full RPG and you'll be able to roam Middle-Earth with one of your own characters, but for now your stuck with the film actors.

It all just seems to planned to be really good fun. It's like playing an adventure, when you know exactly whats coming.

The Maps and film pictures are excellent (and you get four D6 free Woohoo!) but unless you reall loved the film, or your after a good map of middle earth, stay clear till the full RPG (which looks great) is released.

Happy Gaming Amigo,

Hey ! I'm stuck too ...
This is a message for sparkboy. I am too 'stuck' in Bkk w/ no one in sight for rpg. I cannot even find one rpg shop in the whole thailand ...
If you are interested to contact me, and still in the region, you can do so on ltognazzi@hotmail.com.
Sorry for a posting that has nothing to do w/ the topic, but despair has spoken !

How can you not like it?! Have you ever read JRRT's books! they're unsurpassable!!!!
It's THE UNTIMATE FRPG setting! if it wasn't for JRRT, you wouldn't have ANY RPG settings!!!
