Claire: Ok mum see you tomorrow!…Don’t worry the house is spotless, I’m just putting the finishing touches to the Christmas tree…I love you too. Bye.
*Hangs up phone*
Claire: Oh my God Sarah we have some serious work to do! I knew we shouldn’t of had that party look at the mess!
*Paces around the room frustrated*
Claire: We haven’t even unpacked the decorations and have practically spent the money that was supposed to be for Christmas dinner!
*Claire aimlessly flutters around the room trying to figure out a place to start*
Sarah: Chill out we’ll get it done…even if we have to stay up until the early hours of the morning. About the money situation I’m sure we can get the food a bit cheaper.
*With a slight look of relief on her face*
Claire: You know what you’re right! I just need to chill out and take in a deep breath.
*Ah! She sighs*
Claire: Right! The supermarket down the road has a meal deal on right now for £10 so that covers our Christmas dinner and dessert. That’s lucky really because this is the last £10 we have!
*Looking at her watch*
Sarah: Ok then…well we better get moving because time s getting on!
*Claire looks at the clock not really taking in the actual time. As she turns away she thinks she sees the numbers on the clock floating out into the room. She snaps her glance back to the clock but everything is as normal.
Claire: Hey did you see…
*She stops with a puzzled look on her face*
Sarah: Did I see?
*Giving a sarcastic frown*
*Shaking her head in disbelief*
Claire: Oh never mind!
